1. We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Psalms 119:105
2. We believe in one God, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, manifesting Himself in Three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – one in nature, attributes, power and glory. Mark 12:29-30; Deuteronomy 33:27; Revelation 19:6, I John 3:20; Jeremiah 23:24; II Corinthians 13:14
3. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and that He is true God and true man, yet without sin. Luke 1:35; Isaiah 7:14; John 1:1,2,14; Hebrew 4:15
4. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. Genesis 1:27; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Romans 5:12; Mark 7:21-23
5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and rose again for our justification; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood and are saved by grace through faith wholly apart from human merit and works. I Corinthians 15:3; I Peter 2:24; Romans 4:24-25; Colossians 1:14; Ephesians 2:8-9
6. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus are born again by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God thereby become the children of God, possessing eternal divine life, which can never be lost. I Peter 1:23; John 3:5-7, 15, 10:27-30; Galatians 3:26
7. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person – the Administrator of the Godhead – convicting of sin, revealing Christ, teaching truth, restraining evil, energizing believers in prayer, worship, and service, and is ever present in the believer as Comforter and Helper. John 15:26, 16:7-14; Romans 8:26-27; John 14:16-17
8. We believe in the physical resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into Heaven, His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate, and his personal, bodily, visible, premillennial return to establish His kingdom on earth and to reign as the Only Potentate, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Luke 24:6-7; Acts 1:8-11; Hebrew 7:24-27; Matthew 24:27-30; I Timothy 6:15
9. We believe that at any moment the rapture of the saved may occur, when “the Lord shall descend from heaven” to catch up His people to meet Him in the air, and “so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Luke 12:40; I Thessalonians 4:15-17
10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead – the saved to a life of eternal glory and bliss in Heaven with God; the unsaved to eternal judgment of conscious suffering and woe in the lake of fire. Daniel 12:22; John 5:28-29; Revelation 21:8; Matthew 25:41
11. We believe in the separation from all religious apostasy, worldly pleasures, sinful practices, and all associations involved therein, and separating ourselves in wholehearted devotion to the cause of Christ as the only scriptural basis for a happy and useful Christian life. II Corinthians 6:14-7:1; II Thessalonians 3:6, 14-15; Romans 12:1-2; I John 2:15-17; II John 10-11; Titus 2:12
12. We believe that it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to be a personal soulwinner and to do his utmost to give the Gospel of Christ to the whole world. Psalms 107:2; Acts 1:8
13. We believe that the true, universal church includes all believers in Christ during this present dispensation of grace and is the body and bride of Christ of which He is the Head. We believe that this local church is a congregation of believers, associated by covenant, observing the ordinances of Christ, exercising the gifts, privileges and responsibilities given in the New Testament, and following a democratic and congregational type of church government. I Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 5:23-32; Acts 2:41,42,47; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:11-12; Acts 6:3-5
