In-House Ministries

BUS MINISTRY
For transportation of members of the Children's Ministry and members to and from home weekly to Morning Star Baptist Church.

COUPLES MINISTRY
Christian husbands and wives who meet and share their differences and indifferences through Jesus Christ by study and interaction.

COURTESTY COMMITTEE
This committee is responsible for seeking out those who are visiting our church, making them feel welcome and the recipients of that great Morning Star hospitality.

CULINARY DEPARTMENT
Coordinates with all functions where meals and special refreshments are served.

MORNING STAR NURSERY
This is a courtesy extended during the worship periods where parents may take their infants. Ages: from cradle to three years old.

THE MEDICAL CORP.
Members who are trained through a comprehensive proram fostered by the American Red Cross, to care in the case of emergency for the members of this church and its visitors during our regular Worship Services.

THE MINISTRY OF MISSION

SINGLES MINISTRY
A group of single Christians banded by choice to seek a higher level of commitment to God.

WOMEN IN MISSION
This group represents the women of Morning Star who share identical moral and spiritual convictions. It is through this fellowship that the ladies explore and search their personal commitment and learn how to more effectively serve God.

MEN'S MINISTRY - For Men Only!
The conception of this idea is intended for the practice of ministry to men. It is through this fellowship that the men explore and search themselves. After commitment learn how to more effectively serve God.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY
The conception of this idea is intended for the practice of ministry. To encourage us as a people to live holy, chaste, sanctified lives before the Lord. And in return, accomplishing our ultimate goal, the winning of our families, friends, and the unsaved in our community and ultimately our world for Christ.

CLOTHING BANK
A year round outreach service of giving clothing to the community.

FOOD BANK
A special part of our Outreach Ministry to assist those in need.

GOD'S STOREHOUSE
A fund to be used to assist families displaced due to our present economic conditions.

MINISTRY OF MUSIC

BELL CHOIR -

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY CHOIR
To be made up of children who are participants in the Children's Ministry, to sing the songs that tell of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ at the level that children can understand.

COLE-AIRES CHOIR
This Choir was named after Solomon Lovejoy Cole. This choir's repertoire consists basically of traditional gopel music of the Christian experience.

CHORALE
A group of especially talented and trained musicians, to sing a very special type of contemporary music.

MALE CHORUS
A fellowhsip of men bonded together to sing God's praises.

MASS CHOIR
A unit of the church comprised of members of the existing choirs, which sing for special events and on the first, second, and third Sundays.

YOUTH CHOIR
Comprised of youth and young adults who are participants in Teen Ministries of the church.

YOUTH ORCHESTRA
Comprised of youth skilled in playing musical instruments for performance in Worship Services and accompanient.

DEPARTMENT OF PERFORMING ARTS
A ministry comprised of children, youth and adults designed to share the gospel through dramatic and choregraphical expression.
